27 Club

The brief was to create a 12 inch square piece of album art for an artist that is part of The 27 Club, unfortunately an artist that I listened to had recently become a part of that list, Kim Jong-hyun.

I chose to create album art for one of his more upbeat singles as I didn’t want to focus too much on the end of his life, and felt that it would be more appropriate to keep the artwork light-hearted so it was more a celebration of his life rather than mourning his death.
