Visual Media Conference (VMC) is an annual event that focuses on marketing communications and digital innovations. The 2020 theme was “Future Connections” and the campaign and event branding had to reflect this. The client also wanted to visually communicate people connecting and the positive energy needed for an exciting event like VMC.

This was a live competition project set by both VMC and Jaywing, a national design and marketing agency, which my collaborative partner and I won. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the event was not able to go ahead.

By utilising a fully adaptable graphic, built up of a network of shapes and lines, VMC can communicate the importance of the connections made between people at the event. The bold red and blue colour palette enhances the design by communicating a positive tone. The colour palette in combination with the graphic creates a strong and exciting visual language which can inspire VMC’s audience to make future connections.
